dreams and tarot readings.

I haven't posted much about dream interpretation lately, mostly because the ones I was having were a bunch of crap. I kept dreaming I was a Geisha, which was nice because I got to wear beautiful clothes but there wasn't any significant meaning to it. One night we watched House of Wax before going to bed and I had dreams about everyone around me being covered in blood, but I think that had more to do with the movie I saw before I went to bed.

Some significant ones lately include Bear turning into a Werewolf. To see a werewolf in your dream, indicates that something in your life is not what it seems. I think this would indicate Bear is not what he seems. That doesn't sound accurate to me. I have known the man coming up on 7 years now.

I am sitting in school and one of my classmates does something mean and nasty and no one reacts to it or says anything in my defense including the teacher. I fly into a rage over this and call the girl out in front of everyone however I am careful not to say or do anything that will get me expelled. To dream that you are in rage, signifies that your bad temper and negative outbursts may lead to loss of friends. Now I have a very bad temper when I get mad. But it takes a lot to get me mad. But this was right before I got my monthly and I can get very bad PMS, however I haven't flown into a rage ant anyone that I can remember.

Last nights dream, in this dream Bear is hurt and I am trying to find a way to get him back home. He is laying at the entrance of a dirt road that runs through my uncles property. We are surrounded by tall lush trees and green grass. Both are symbols of good fortune. Then as I am trying to figure out how to get Bear home this White horse appears out of know where. He is a young horse and is wearing a primitive bridal that looks like its made of rags. This is the most beautiful horse I have ever seen. He is perfectly clean and such a pure shade of white that he seems to glow in the light of a setting sun. I decide it would be best to see if I can even ride him before trying to haul Bear's butt up there so I mount him Bear Back and grab ah old of the rag bridle and off we go. He rides very well for only having a rag in his mouth. Later on I take the animal to my parents old barn where there is still an old bridal and saddle and I put a bridle and saddle on the horse. Then the dream changes and we are back at home. There are two friends visiting that Bear saw as they passed through town yesterday. Tom and Marti. The work on traveling sales crews and travel around the country like Bear used to do. They were on there way to Texas when we saw them. I am telling them about this beautiful white horse and they want to go see it. They walk outside and I hear a commotion. The horse has gotten out of a barn (that I don't have) and it tangled up in its lead rope in one of my gardens. Its thrashed around and broken its leg. I wake up at this point.

Interpretation
To dream of an injury being done you, signifies that an unfortunate occurrence will soon grieve and vex you. I saw an injury being done to Bear not to me so I am guessing that one an unfortunate occurrence will soon happen to him, but the injury didn't last long in the dream so it must not be a big deal

To see a horse in your dream, represents a strong, physical energy. If the horse is white, then it signifies purity, prosperity and good fortunes. (This horse was magnificently white). Mount a horse bareback, you will gain wealth and ease by hard struggles.
To dream of catching a horse to bridle and saddle, or harness it, you will see a great improvement in business of all kinds, and people of all callings will prosper.

In the dream interpretation there assuming that riding a horse bareback is something thats difficult and it might be difficult for most people. I don't have any trouble riding bareback at all and the fact that the horse road so well with something as insignificant as a rag in its mouth I think counter acts that part of the interpretation.

I still haven't decided how accurate this whole dream interpretation thing is. I have had several dreams indicating significant amounts of prosperity and they haven't happened yet.

But I have also had two very favorable tarot readings lately also. One with the final outcome card of the ace of swords and the other as the Sun.

Ace of Swords- The Ace of Swords represents a brand new vision or a brand new perspective to an already existing idea. Swords represent change and the Ace of Swords suggests a strong and outright change for the better. It symbolizes victory over old outdated ways and attainment of ones desires at the highest level. The Ace of Swords can also suggest the acceptance of a new job, career path, or starting a new school and it always represents beating out the competition. However, keep in mind that with every true victory a hefty sacrifice is usually paid. To truly make a change and accomplish what one has started one must be willing to let go of old habits and traditions blocking the way. The sword is two-sided as it does bring victory but the victory comes only at the sacrifice and defeat of others. The Ace of Swords represents glory and honor in the highest sense but it is an honor that has been truly earned and paid for.

The Sun-This card is about new beginnings. The sun will shine for you and everything will seem to fall into place. You will possess youthful energy and clarity of mind.

Although I am still waiting for the good news at least there isn't any bad news in this.

Monday

Mondays are not nearly as bad as they used to be now that I'm working at home. It means that I have to wake up and get the kids out of bed but that's OK because it also means they will be gone until 4pm. Its hard to work when there at home, although its getting easier.

When they argue they are both sent to there rooms, it doesn't matter who started it and depending on what kind of mood I am in they could stay there. The hitting has come to a complete stop. Bear has a wooden paddle he made and after listening to them hit back and forth one day I brought the paddle out and announced that from now on if one of them hit the other or if one of them claimed the other hit them they were both going to get their buts spanked with that paddle despite who claimed who did what. They don't hit each other anymore. If they fight over any object they will both claim that its theirs or that the other "gave" it to them for something. Now if if they fight over anything the object becomes mine. After a week of collecting several nice little trinkets they have quit that too.

Coyote didn't bring home his progress reports before thanksgiving break started so Bear got online to check his grades a few days ago and we saw why he didn't bring them home. B, C, D, very low D, and an F. We talked about home schooling again since its clear the public school system clearly isn't working for him and for someone like Coyote I don't think it will either.

Work slowed down dramatically yesterday. The reason is obvious. there are 4 days left in this pay period and this is the check that will be received right before Christmas/Yule so everyone is piling on trying to make money at the last minute. This happened it September too. I am also behind myself a little this month. Mostly because I goofed off to much at the beginning of the month. Its not to much. I have about 165 dollars to go to make my goal and 4 days to do it in. But Sunday I sat here almost all day and only made 20 dollars so this might be a problem. Fortunately all of the presents for the kids are bought. Its just family now and I don't buy them expensive gifts. Mainly because I can't afford to.

We worked on the back of the property a bit more on Saturday and Bear managed to hurt his back again. I'm not sure if he does it cutting the trees or pulling the cord on the chain saw. The trees are all thin so I don't think it can be from moving the ones he cuts. he will live though. I think he needs to avoid any cutting for the next few days. Maybe he can have a friend come over next weekend and do it for him.

pictures

Its been a while since I was able to post any pictures. We had to dump the hard drive on the computer and I couldn't find the disk that had my camera driver in it, then for some reason picasa wouldn't download for me and I didn't want to download the program that came with my camera. Well this morning I finally got in downloaded and got all of the pictures from the past few months off of my camera. Here are the ones I chose to show. A picture from my morning walk. this one is taken from the hilltop where our new house will go. This is looking down hill. If you can look past the tree you can see a blue grey color which is actually a mountain. You can only see it this time of year. We have a lot of thinning to do before you will be able to see it clearly. Only the little stuff with be going. All of the big trees will stay. except for the ones at the very bottom of the hill. We plan on damning up the little wet weather stream at bottom and making it a pond.
This is a section that has already been thinned out. My bedroom dome will sit here and will have windows that look out across to that hill over there. There is still some thinning to be done her as well.
Remember that peacock I saw in my tree. This is it.
I love decorating for the holidays and this is a spot I don't think I took a picture of before.
This critter showed up last night to eat the cat food that's sitting outside. It looks dead doesn't it. Commodore thought so too. You can see the wet spot on its coat where he tried to pick it up and carry it but couldn't. I watched it with a flashlight for a long time and actually caught it taking a breath or two. It moved a little bit when I pulled on its tail. I left it alone and went back in the house and sure enough 30 minutes later I was chasing it off into the woods after it tried to eat the cat food again. Its a pretty convincing actor, isn't it.
This is the only way to access the back of my property with a vehicle and you have to be a good driver to get down this trail. Bear cut this last year after getting tired of carrying heavy tools back and forth.
Look who came with me on my walk this morning. You guys remember Snowy. I ran over him back in the summer. He was also the one that got hit the worst with that flue bug that my cats attracted this fall. The others were better in a few days but it took snowy a month to recover. And that was keeping him indoors and bombarding him with vitamins and antibiotics. The accident left him weaker than the other cats and with a breathing problem. I suspect a hernia in the diaphragm, but this is something that is improving with time. The rest indoors seemed to have done him some good because he was breathing easier for a while. Then yesterday he started trying to cough out a hair ball. He coughed and coughed and finally managed to cough it out. Since then he is breathing like he was before. But it doesn't seem to be bothering him that bad this morning. I always have to pick him up and carry him by the end of the walk though.
Coyotes homemade Halloween costume. I never did manage to buy the green spray on glitter I was going to get.
Purple cone flower that wasn't supposed to bloom this year but did anyway.
Mouses Halloween costume. She went as Hermione.
The kids carving pumpkins.

Cleaning them out on those horrible fiberglass steps I keep planning to replace.

This looks like an orange beauty canna, but its not. Its called Oregon Orange or Oklahoma Orange or something like that. Its a state and it has the word orange in it. Nebraska Orange. Ii can't remember now.
A red Dahlia grown from seed. My mother grew this one.
The hibiscus I haven't been able to identify yet. I grew it from the seed of a friends tree. the flowers on her tree are not shaped like this and I can't find its identity anywhere. New type, maybe.
The berries of a very odd thing I found on the back of my property. These berries belong to a honeysuckle vine I happened to find growing on my property the spring we started cleaning back there. I would have cut it down had it not been in bloom at the time. The flowers on this vine are Canary Yellow. I have pictures somewhere. I haven't been able to find this species of honeysuckle anywhere either. I saw pictures of a yellow honeysuckle that grows in Missouri but there not the same. That one is pale yellow and this one is a deep golden yellow that would make a daffodil jealous. The berries start out orange like this and then turn bright red.
Another dahlia. planted from seed by my mother

Well, its another day. I got up at 7 am the last couple days. Its easier for me to get everything done that I need to get done when I get up at that hour. I went for my walk through the woods. I rarely put on clothes for this walk. I usually take a couple of fleecy throws we have laying around the house and wrap 1 around my waist like a skirt and drape the other over my shoulders and head out the door with my pajamas underneath. Who is going to see me, the deer? I don't think they care what I am wearing.

I came home and walked around the house straightening things up. This includes picking up dishes from around the house that the kids have left out and putting the pillows back on the couch. I don't really understand their need to kick them in the floor in the evening. Its much easier to keep the house clean now. Its not because I have more time to do it, because I don't have anymore time working at home than I did working in the call center. Its because I can log out of work at 4pm when the kids get home and stand over them and make sure their doing there choirs right. They won't do them right unless someone is standing over them making sure that there doing them right.

I put a roll of ground beef in a sink full of warm water and contemplate what I'm going to do with it this evening. Meatloaf or hamburgers. We had spaghetti and meatballs the other night. I don't have any hamburger buns and although we can have hamburgers on pieces of bread its really not the same. I love my homemade french fries and so does everyone else. My meatloaf never seems to go far enough but I would rather have that than hamburgers on bread. Plus, over the weekend we baked a chicken and I boiled up the bones with some herbs and veggies to make a nice liquid for making gravy with later. I've never done that before. I usually just give the bones to the cats but this time I decided to do something with them. I was pleased with the results and will probably do it again sometime.

Now if I can find a recipe for hamburger buns then I might be able to go ahead and have hamburgers and I can surf the net for that while I am working. I love working at home!!!!!

The dome

We plan to get the digging finished for the first earth bag dome in January. Bear is supposed to have some grant money coming through at that time and we have included enough money to excavate the 30 feet of foundation as well as a square for the cob dinning room a small triangular section toward the south which will have a small sitting area in it. Those of you who were visiting this blog when we were digging this by hand remember that we left 3 different levels in the foundation to begin with. Those 3 steps have eroded a lot since we stopped digging (we hurt ourselves, lol) and we decided it would be best to just have the whole thing scooped out level and we can build different levels if we want to.

That will probably be best since we have the issue of plumbing coming from the kitchen and a bathroom. With much of the floor being raised we won't have any trouble putting the plumbing in it. The plumbing has been worrying me a little bit since we probably won't have the money to hire someone to do it and neither one of us really knows anything about it. i did a little searching on the Internet today and found a decent website (although if anyone has any good links I would love to have them). It doesn't look all that difficult. Its just a matter of understanding gravity and water going to the lowest level and water pressure coming from the outside. I have a very good understand of how water and pressure works. I know that water will always seek the lowest level. i may need a little advice from someone that knows what there doing but i bet i can manage all of the myself. I will just let Bear handle the electrical. He is positive he can handle most of it himself. he doesn't have a clue about hooking everything up to the box though. But lucky for us we know several engineers who could probably help us with that.

Bear doesn't have a clue about water finding its lowest level or pressure or anything like that. He proved that when he installed the pond. I can't tell you how many times he would be working on the waterfall or the pond itself and I would shake my head and say "Babe that is not going to work". "Oh shut up you don't know what you are talking about." would be the answer I would get. I quit arguing with him a long time ago. I just sit back and watch while he redo everything 3 or 4 times.

We went back there and cut some trees yesterday. With most of the leaves being gone i had suddenly gotten anxious to start clearing out the smaller trees and underbrush so i can see the mountains in the north east better. That an we need some firewood. We got about 9 trees cut before Bear pulled a muscle in his back and we had to quit for the day. I really was hoping to get more done. It would be nice to have the underbrush and smaller trees cleared out to the stream bed by spring.

I am trying a new technique for killing the stumps. A friend told me about this and i don't know if it will work or not. After cutting the tree punch some holes in it with a big nail and a hammer and them cover the surface of stump with a thick layer of salt. I did notice after pouring the salt on the stumps that it soaked up the moisture coming out of them and hardened. With this happening i don't think it will be easy for the rain to wash it away. maybe i should add a little sugar to it also. That would certainly cause it to harden up.

If anyone has any good links involving how to do grey water recycling i would really like to have them.

Something really odd

mapquest

The above link is to my place and surrounding properties on mapquest. when you click on it go to the Ariel photograph. There is something really interesting i found on this photograph. its a long trail running through the photograph. I guess trail is not even the word for it. Its a piece or ground 150ft wide at the least and several miles long and it runs through the countryside. i thought it was a road at first but then I saw where the pond on my neighbors property showed up on the photograph.

To find what I am looking at start at the star that marks my address and move your finger east. There is a faint line going through the trees there which in actually a wire fence separating my property from 1000 acres belonging to a hunting resort. You will see a little clearing and a small pond in this area also. where that clearing begins and the woods end marks the end of my property. You will notice running along the edge of that clearing is what looks like another road. That's not a road. Unlike other roads on this map this one is very wide and its green. I can see a section of it when standing on the edge of that clearing because my land is much higher up on the hillside than my neighbors. Its as wide as a patch of ground that's been cleared out for high tension wires but there aren't any high tension wires in it. Now follow this long green stretch of open land. It runs for miles and miles and miles across the countryside. If I didn't know better I would think it was a wide and busy road, but its not. Its just open ground. And if you look a little bit more closely at this map its not the only one on here. I can see another one further to the east.

Can someone please explain to me what this is?

Well, one less cat.

Well, I'm going to be going outside to bury another cat in a little while. It was Bandit this time. Why is it always our favorites that get hit by cars. Bandit was my coffee drinking buddy. I used to sit on the deck when he weather was nice and drink my morning coffee and he would sit on the table next to me waiting for me to bot be paying attention. Then we he thought I wasn't looking he would drink my coffee too. He got squished in the road sometime last night. I have also lost one other I think. I haven't seen Ash in two weeks. I'm not as upset about her because she was mean and pushy to the other cats. I think she may have gotten sick or injured and gotten up in the insulation in the floor. The cats are able to get into the floor under my bathroom. I have had to pull more than 1 littler of kittens out of the space the motor and tubes are in underneath my whirlpool tub. The reason I think she is there is because there is a rotten smell in the bathroom and laundry room. We can't find its source and its extremely strong around the bathtub. Well, at least its getting cold. I won't be able to find her body unless we pull out the insulation under the house so by spring I suspect her body will be freeze dried.

I suspect i nearly lost another one a few nights before. This one was Pixie. She is an unusually small grey cat with pale green eyes and it very dainty in the way she walks and extremely loving. She hopped on my lap the other day and peed on me. I pushed her off my lap and when I did I noticed her tail dragging limply behind her. Well time to call the vet again. As it turns out is a broken tail. This is caused by dramatic injury and further examination of her tail reveals several deep sores in the middle of it. It also involves damage to the nerves connected to the bladder and sphincter. She not only can't move her tail but she has no control over when she goes to the bathroom anymore. The vet says there isn't anything that can be done and she is probably not in any pain. i just have to try and make sure she stays clean. He did recommend that we amputate her tail eventually. But there are other things to be done first. The female cats have to be fixed soon and Snowflake will need a surgery to repair the hernia in his diaphragm.

I did find a home for 3 of my cats. A woman with a farm near here wants them as barn cats. I hate giving them away but i really have way to many. This minus the one that's missing and the one that's was killed last night brings me to 7. That's Snowflake who lives in the house now (that's the one i hit with my car), Demon, Blacky, Smoky, Irish, Pixie, and Ash.

Last night I dreamed of fire and a Ship!

Actually in the dream everything was ending as we knew it. There wasn't anymore electricity and we couldn't drive our cars. It was winter. I started out on the same pirate ship I saw the other night. Then as dreams do everything changed and I was in a building instead. We had heat and food outside but the people there weren't sharing with anyone and everyone was concerned about keeping warm because night was falling and it was going to be freezing cold. I told everyone it was stupid for them to be so worried. If society was ending these buildings we were in were going to be in ruins and we should just knock out a section of the roof and light a fire inside underneath that section of roof. Well as so many people do they acted like idiots with the fire and ended up catching the building on fire. I just got pissed and left with Bear. There was a dumpster behind the building that belonged to The Salvation Army so we went through it looking for anything we needed. There was a guard dog chained nearby that was barking so we left because we didn't want anyone to know we were there. There were others with us but I don't know who they were.

To dream of a vicious dog, denotes enemies and unalterable misfortune. I wake up this morning with a dead cat in the road. One of my favorites.

To dream of ships, foretells honor and unexpected elevation to ranks above your mode of life. Had this one the other night too.

Fire is favorable to the dreamer if he does not get burned. It brings continued prosperity to seamen and voyagers, as well as to those on land.

The night before last I dreamed of money again. I dreamed left me gas money on the bathroom counter. To look upon a quantity of money, denotes that prosperity and happiness are within your reach.

All of these symbols have been popping up since September when I started doing interpretations in the first place. All of the bad ones seem to take place right away, but I am still waiting on this prosperity and good fortune that's supposed to be coming my way. Whats up with that!!!!!!

I have read that the time frame of the dream's forecast may be calculated by how close the dreamer was to the main feature of the dream. For example, if the main factor was parsley, which signifies success through hard work, the success should materialize fairly soon if the dreamer were handling or eating the parsley. If the parsley were just observed by the dreamer, or were at a distance, the realization is likely to be delayed. I was observing the ship and then I was on it. I was observing the fire but didn't set it. I am observing the money I have won or have been given but its never in my hands.

The vividness and clarity of your dream is another indication of the importance of the event. A dream only half-remembered or vague and hazy is unlikely to have any important significance.

I found madcaps peacock!!!!!!

Madcap has been having an issue with peacocks lately. She dreams about them, she is seeing there feathers in stores, and has blogged about them. Well right before sunset yesterday I walk into my backyard with a basket of laundry balanced on my head (yes passing cars get a real kick out of that) and notice high up in a tall and skinny tree is what looks like an unusually large leaf of a piece of bark or something. My first guess was that I was seeing a leaf off of a type of tree 'who's name I can't think of at the moment" that gets really big. Its an extremely tall tree with stunning white bark and enormous leaves and it drops this big hard balls of seeds that have furry stuff of the inside when you break them open. Anyway back to the point. There weren't any of those trees close enough to this place for it to be one of those leaves. I walked closer and as I did I saw a head pop up. It was a bird. Wild Turkey was my second guess. Keep in mind the sun was setting and the light failing.

I walked under it and took the basket of laundry off of my head. As I did I saw a fan of feathers on its little brown and white head and it clicked. There is a female peacock in the tree behind my house!

Its gone now. But Mouse and I took some fuzzy pictures of it. I posted on the Susan Weed forums about this because I knew there had to be some significance for seeing this animal in my tree. Just like seeing the golden eagle fly out of a tree 20 feet from me last year when golden eagles aren't supposed to live in Arkansas. Nothing really stood out. Although someone did mention she has peacocks visit her home every now and then and feels that there visits are "lucky". You guessed it. I am driving to Missouri next week to play the lottery, ha ha.

I've been playing free lotto online also. I almost won a car last week. 2 numbers away from it. if I win the car I can take 50k or a car worth50k. I would take the 50k and just get a new car. Actually what I would probably do is get Bear a new car and take his Rav4 because i like that vehicle. Even if it is older than my Corolla.

Recent dream interpretations (remember i am still learning this)

My dreams lately have been full of snakes. There not on me and unlike prior dreams I'm not killing them. There just "there". They coil in the grass and silver around me, never touching me or getting in my way. I'm just aware of there presence. I've never dreamed of snakes as much as I have been lately. Snakes in a dream are warnings of various troubles, obstacles, or treachery. To kill them is a good indication you will overcome those things. To walk over snakes without trying to kill them suggests that you will, in the end, actually turn the tables on those who are trying to block your way. I'm not walking over these snakes though. There simply present. It could mean that although there are things all around me that could be blocking me, there not. Now there is a good chance that if I stepped off the path I am walking in these dreams that I could be bitten by these snakes. So I guess I need to stay on the path that I am currently walking so I won't get bitten.

Right before I woke up I dreamed on an old pirate ship. I wasn't on the ship, it was just sitting in the water next to me in the dream. To dream of ships, foretells honor and unexpected elevation to ranks above your mode of life. More symbols like these in my dreams. These symbols keep popping up every time I close my eyes.

I have also been dreaming of winning money. I dreamed one night that I was getting 900,000 from being on "survivor". I never actually receive the money in my dreams I am always "about" to get it and the dream goes in circles and it just doesn't get to me before I wake up. Last night I dreamed I won 10,000 in some contest and even though I definitely had won the dreams went in circles and the money was never actually in my hand. The fact that it repeats itself seems significant, but I can't find a meaning for it.

I did a search when work slowed down online last night just randomly looking for things and I decided to look up "psychic wins the lottery" . This has happened twice. At least the people have said they are psychic and won the lottery. Both were pretty well known and working as psychics. One was in Australia and the other in the UK. The one in Australia had a lucid dream and won using the numbers a year later. She and her sister medicated on the dream and one of them came up with October and the other September. The played in September and won and got the money in October. I was watching a special on lottery winners and one dreamed he won the lottery also and won it a year later also. So I guess its safe to say that if I ever dream of winning the lottery it probably wouldn't take place for a year. Ha ha.

Blue Skies and bare limbs

yesterday the wind blew and blustered all day long. I get nervous walking in the woods on days like that. I'm always afraid a big heavy limb will come crashing down. I got my monthly invoice from work last week and although i haven't mentioned it her until now it was actually more than i would have made at my prior job by 105 dollars. That of course is once i took gas and food out of it.

Bear has gotten off my back about it now. Maybe that's what my dreams were predicting. he is also talking about finding a job for himself to do from home. I think he would be great working for a psychic hotline. He can read tarot cards and talk a person to death so keeping them on the phone for a decent amount of time shouldn't be a problem. They were paying really well last time I checked. At least as long as you can keep a person on the phone for longer than 10 minutes.

Lately the dreams are warning to use caution when dealing with partners in business. Maybe its referring to looking for new at home employment for Bear. I have dealt with a few psychic hotlines that seem to have a difficult time getting payment to there readers.

Autumn?

All of the leaves have either turned color or are laying on the ground now and it gets dark at 5pm. Yet today it was 80 degrees and we did some pre Christmas/Yule shopping in shorts and continued our search for a snow shovel ornament to represent 2005 on the tree unsuccessfully.

You know just a few years ago I remember finding several of them in the stores and thinking"what a silly ornament". Now I can't find a damn one. I did find something close on eBay. closer I think to what would actually be fitting. We picked a shovel because 2005 was when we started digging the foundation for the earth bag house. The one I found on eBay was a mini sand shovel and bucket with fake water in it and a sand castle. It wasn't pretty but I think it was fitting. Now the question is what will we pick out for 2006. I suggested a taco to Bear since he is running a Taco Bell right now. He didn't like that. I'm having a really hard time trying to decided on what significant event to pick out the 2006 ornament for. I don't think there has been one.

Bear and I have given more thought to home schooling Coyote. I have just finished writing a nice "nasty" note to a Gym teacher who thinks Coyote is lying about hitting his head a few weeks ago. I wrote a note to his prior gym teacher explaining Coyote can't participate in gym for 3 weeks after the accident but somehow that information didn't get passed on to the new gym teacher who gave Coyote lunch detention today for refusing to participate in gym class. After having to go down to the school and fill out a form that they then had to fax to his Dr to sign just so they could give coyote an over the counter pain medicine for headaches, this little episode, the lack of improvement in his grades despite his 143 IQ, and yet another phone call from a teacher complaining about his behavior in class. . . Well, yeah, I am a little pissed!

I did come up with a wonderful new line for dealing with teachers who are having a hard time dealing with Coyotes very outgoing personality. I ask them "Would you tell the sun not to rise and expect it to listen to you?" The answer obviously is no. I respond with "Well that's like telling Coyote not to talk. You can tell him not to until you are blue in the face, that doesn't mean its going to happen!" They don't seem to have a response to that. I have been trying to get that kid to quit talking since he moved in with us 7 1/2 years ago. If I haven't made any progress in that time I doubt that an hour a day 5 days a week is going to make any difference either.

You can tell him not to until you are blue in the face, that doesn't mean its not going to happen!" They don't seem to have a response to that. I have been trying to get that kid to quit talking since he moved in with us 7 1/2 years ago. If I haven't made any progress in that time I doubt that an hour a day 5 days a week is going to make any difference either.

pictures of cob i found on the internet last night

Its been a while since i went looking for of cob on the Internet. A couple of years actually. That's enough time for a whole bunch of new projects to be completed, photographed and uploaded. Here are some examples. A small one room dwelling. Probably a garden shack. The interesting thing about this is you don't ever have to stop adding on to your cob building.
A wall. There is an earth bread oven attached to this wall which also helps to warm it in the winter because the cob absorbed the heat and radiates it out. There is a hole for fire storage and a Gia symbol sculpted into it.
Somebody put some detail into this didn't they.
I'm sure someone knows what this symbol is.
I think that's Celtic knot work by the window there.
A larger picture of the same room.
The goddess symbol

Some artistic swirls around a light switch. I think its a light switch anyway.
An interesting feature.
The foundation of a cob addition on a standard home.
An indoor cob bench.
The same cob addition on a standard home.

The green eye in a dragon sculpted into a wall

This is part of a bench. I don't know what its supposed to be.
I don't think its supposed to be one, but it looks like a marijuana leaf.
An interesting looking bench.
This is a sculpture of a tulip tree.
I don't know what this is but isn't it cool looking.

A really cool door.
A castle sculpted into awall.
They called this a copper mosaic in a dutch door. i think it would be much prettier if they had covered the entire door.
That took some patience didn't it.
Corn stalks sculpted into a cob wall.

A creative door handle
Really neat looking windows. Those smaller glass circles are created by burying glass bottles into the walls.
A tear drop shaped window.
Nasturtium vines on a one room cottage. The living roof. that looks like poke weed on the top of it.
An example of an earth bread oven.

rain and gloom

Its been raining since I woke up this morning (which was much later than i should of). its been raining all day long and a few times I had to peek outside to check on the level of the goldfish pond and the level of the stream in the gully behind my house because I was concerned about flooding. But it never happened. I worked until bear got home from Church. A man from church approached him today and asked him about straw bale houses. He told him that I would be the better person to ask.

Of course I would probably just steer him away from it and toward earth bag if it a all possible because straw bale uses a lot of wood in the construction and can be expensive.

Bear made a big pot of chili that we have been munching on all day and he turned off his Sunday afternoon football games to watch a movie with me called Casanova. A romantic comedy. I don't usually like romantic comedies but this was pretty good. As most of you know I like scary movies and Gothic romances. One of my favorite all time series was American Gothic. I never could figure out for sure if Sheriff Buck was the devil or not. From what I understand the series is available on DVD now. i would like to buy it one of these days.

If you happen to come across the movie on cable you should see it, or rent it, it was good.

It stopped raining at dusk and I went for a walk in the woods. There was fog rising everywhere. There is a full moon hidden behind the fog and clouds in the sky and the trees around me were spooky black silhouettes while everything else including the sky and fog were deep blue grey. You could hear water dropping all through the forest as it dripped off of tree limbs and leaves. It was extremely creepy, like something out of the Sleepy Hollow movie, and I absolutely loved walking in it. Two grey cats hopping along with me.

I ran across this letter from a students teacher that I think you will like.

Underfunded

I saw an advertisment for this show on USA the other night and it looked kind of cute so I thought I would put up a link to it. It catches my eye mostly because a couple of the blogs I read belong to canadians and this series is about a canadian secret service agent.

You should check out the exclusive video clips in the lower left hand corner, the viagra bust is hilarious.

So much for friday

Well we didn't get anything done that we planned on getting done yesterday other than buying a few groceries.

Bear's boss paid him a day late which was a source of great anxiety for us for a few hours because they have been having some financial difficulties. There Dardanelle restaurant has been loosing 1500 dollars a day in food and money being stolen. Which means much of it was walking right out the back door. For this much to be disappearing means that management is more than likely involved. He did get paid though, even if it was a day late.

The symbols in the dreams continue. The last couple involved animals. In one dream I was standing near a wagon full of "stuff" and a snake crawled out. I cut the snakes head off. Dreaming of a snake and killing it is a sign that you will succeed in spite of any hostile opposition. Last night I dreamed I was given a very young and valuable calf by my brother in law. A young calf is a sure sign that all your hopes will be realized. To dream of my brother in law indicates financial stability and domestic security. I have recently learned that dreams of a prophetic nature usually occur during the deepest part of your night's sleep for most of you this will be between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. which is when these are occurring. There was another strange part of this dream which I haven't been able to figure out. My brother in law had also bought a manicure for me from my old boss who was unusually friendly toward me and very happy to see me. She is not a friendly lady and I can't stand the woman but she was going to do my nails and was very eager to do so. Despite all of these positive dreams nothing much around here has changed. We are no richer or any more secure than we were weeks ago when I started interpreting them. .

Another day

But at least its a sunny one. Yesterday was cloudy and miserable, but today there are blue skies shinning above the red and gold leaves outside my office windows today. Bear didn't have to be at work until 11am and he actually got up at a decent hour this morning so we went for a walk in the woods on the back of the property. He is off tomorrow and we discussed what we were going to do.

That pile of rock and other assorted crap behind the house needs our attention. A few weeks ago I managed to sort out 3 pallets full of stone and get rid of some of the trash but there is still a lot more left to go so i think we will be working on that tomorrow. Between the two of us we should be able to make a big dent in it.

We looked at the foundation, currently full of fallen leaves and talked about it and trying to get the digging done on it after the first of the year. Bear talked about his options reguarding work. I mentioned that I thought if we went back into business for himself part time and worked at home part time he ought to o really well. Working at home would give him something to fall back on during the winter months when sales slow down. He seemed to like that idea.

We will need to clean the leaves out of the foundation tomorrow also. We will probably do it a couple of times in the next few weeks. The deepest part of it, the lower level has stayed full of water for a large part of the year. We started hitting heavy red clay at that point. Clay so thick it seemed to absorb each blow with the pick ax we made and hardly made a dent in it at all. I remember what it was like trying to cut through that stuff. It would crumble when we shoveled it up and I remember saying it reminded my of red velvet cake. Unfortunately that red clay holds water really well. Its stayed under water for large parts of the year. Once its under cover it won't be a problem, but right now it is. I'm looking forward to being able to start work on it again.

I walk back there almost every day. Usually just to sit and look at the trees and listen. A few weeks ago I saw a grey fox back there. It was the strangest looking thing. It didn't look like a canine at all. It had a dogs body, but its face was almost catlike. Its body was grey and red underneath like a red squirrel. It had some black stripes on its face like a tabby cat does. It was less than 15 feet from me before it saw me sitting here. I froze for a few seconds and then hopped away like a deer hops to a large hickory tree was was nearby. It just stood there and looked at me like it was about to climb that tree. Then when it decided I wasn't going to hurt it it hopped off down the hill. I heard it barking a few minutes later and it sounded like a cross between a squirrel barking and a coyote. I looked it up when I got back to the house and according to what I read a grey fox actually can climb a tree. Better than a cat can. Not only can they climb trees but they can hop from limb to limb like a squirrel does.
