Answering Service

I used to work a call center or an Answering Service. It was all incoming calls for customer service. We did outsourcing for a mortgage company. It was a pretty easy job. A little bit to easy actually. It was incredibly boring, but it did pay decently. Although the other employees said after 5 years they start looking for reasons to get rid of you if you haven't gone into management of some form. They don't want to continue to pay high wages to people for the same job they could pay a new person to do for less.

What I learned shortly after taking this job is that the training program we were "rushed" through was actually supposed to take 6 weeks. We were rushed through it in two. No wonder I felt as though my head was going to explode and I was completely un-prepared.
