When I think of hardware I think of tool that you buy at a hardware store. Then I realized it could apply to antique cabinet hardware or antique door hardware. for example a friend of mine is r enting a house in which the windows were replaced. the owner of the house saved the original windows that actually worked on a very old pully system. They had hardware that needed to be replaced.
